Apprentice to the Mapmaker
Hidden routes are drawn for rulers, never for the people who walk them.
A mapmaker's apprentice adds a village omitted from official charts. Soldiers arrive asking who taught them to read maps.
Write a complete scene or flash piece (~900 words). Focus on character choice under pressure.
