Element kind: Structure
Braiding relies entirely on strategic juxtaposition. A scene ending in tragedy within your past timeline can cut immediately to an echoing triumph inside your present timeline, allowing you to reveal rich thematic insights without relying on direct exposition.
A braided narrative alternates distinct storytelling strands so that motif, irony, or dramatic revelation lands with maximum impact when your separate paths finally intersect. This form is distinct from a basic flashback, functioning as a set of synchronized arcs.
